PESACH FOOD DONATIONS

This was the first annual pre-Pesach food drive which members of B’nai B’rith Victoria were asked, during their Pesach cleaning - not to throw out food products but to donate their non-perishables. The collection was earmarked for the Salvation Army - Bridge Program. This is a worthy program where they do some incredible work within the wider community supporting people with drug and alcohol issues providing hope and pathways to recovery within a community context. They are a central point, from which people are streamlined into rehab, drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as a centre for weekly programs and meals for the community. Although we only had less than a week to organise – Captain Alison Platt, Chaplain of the
Salvation Army - Bridge Programme was very pleased with the foods donated.

A very successful turn out of movie goers – to see this delightful film which was followed by a scrumptious Kosher l’Pesach Supper in the home of one of our B’nai B’rith members.  A very enjoyable evening was had by all
