The Fred and Lisl Loewenstein Memorial Award is given to a deserving young person participating in the B'nai B'rith Jewish Youth Eisteddfod. The award, in memory of two outstanding members of B'nai B'rith and worth at least $1000, has been given annually since 1996.
The most recent winner was Richard Riackkenen, a student at McKinnon High School; the award has enabled him to accompany the school orchestra to the United States in 2010.
No award was made in 2011, but it is expeced that awards will resume in 2012.
