Menorah Awards
The Menorah Awards were instituted in 1978 by B’nai B’rith Victoria
to recognise the voluntary work of members of the community, often over long
periods, that had been given selflessly and without due recognition. It was
felt that these unsung heroes
should be recognised, and each year in May BBV holds a special
ceremony to present them with certificates of appreciation and a citation
describing their work on behalf of the community. The names of all recipients
are inscribed on an honour board that hangs in the foyer of B’nai B’rith House,
Melbourne.
