Gesher-Rabin Unit is proud to be one of B'nai B'rith's newest units. Established in 2019, by combining two separate units; Yitzhak Rabin Unit and the Gesher Unit. The new Unit caters for 40s-60s age group. To date members have arranged a number of social and fundraising functions. These have included a hilarious debate, entertaining film nights, relaxing picnics, a range of speakers on interesting topics, annual trivia fundraiser, fun games, bush walking for beginners and a most successful NYE night. While running a range of entertaining activities, we also raised funds for both Israeli and Australian causes including needy children in Sderot, Haztolah, Camp Sababa, Impact for Women, and the Avalon Centre in Melbourne. Working with JECO for Mitzvah Day - collecting goods for less fortunate in both Australia and Israel. We have plans for more hands-on community involvement activities in the future.
Our primary interest is promoting social inclusion as well as identifying community issues that may require attention. We are more than happy to welcome new people and are always open to fresh ideas to support our Unit's continuing success.
