On behalf of our B’nai B’rith family, we remember the victims of the massacre by Hamas on the 7th October 2023, we remember the hostages taken the same day, and those executed never to return to their loved ones. We live in hope that those still alive may returned.
We grieve for the soldiers and civilians who have died fighting for the existence of the State of Israel and for the survival of the Jewish people in the face of rampant antisemitism worldwide.
The Albanese Government has yet to declare Hamas a terrorist organisation, and has given very little support to our community, particularly our Jewish student body at the Universities, kowtowing to the powers of hate and ignorance in fear of losing their seats at the next election. They should be very ashamed of their spineless behaviour.
We will survive, we have survived for millennia, after all Jews are a light unto the nations.
Am Yisrael Chai
