Remembering Jean Lederer z’’l

On March 10, B’nai B’rith NSW welcomed members, friends and family to pay tribute to a remarkable woman who had left an indelible mark on their lives. Jean Lederer, z’’l, had been a guiding light within the organisation since 1955 as her warmth, dedication, and unwavering commitment were woven through the fabric of B’nai B’rith NSW for nearly seven decades.

Jean’s legacy was one of selflessness and service. She had been the cornerstone of countless initiatives, most notably the Bargain Bazaar and the Parents’ Retirement Home. Her commitment to the values of B’nai B’rith NSW served as a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As memories turned into anecdotes, and laughter mingled with tears, each story painted a vivid picture of Jean’s impact on the community.

Amidst the moving reflection, there was also a sense of celebration—a celebration of a life lived with purpose, of a spirit that had touched so many hearts.

Jean’s memory lives on in the initiatives she had championed, the lives she had touched, and the values she had embodied. Though she has departed this world, Jean Lederer, z’’l, will forever remain a shining light for generations to come.
